HMV Tropicana;
This model is more upmarket to its sibling, the Sprite. The first four transistors are silicon rather than the germanium used in the Sprite with the JA chassis.The fascia is cast aluminium compared with the plastic used in the Sprite.
The radio may include an earphone socket with a 47R resistor in series with the earphone. The supplied earphone has a DC resistance of 15R.
Weight is without battery (Eveready No. 2510 or similar).
