Description |
This tube is actually an EL8, which is intentionally wrongly designated as "EL3E".
Note the picture showing a true EL8, the false "EL3E" and a true EL3N !
The plate dissipation for the EL8 is 5 watts, while for the EL3 it is 9 watts.
The proper cathode resistor for the EL8 is 320 ohms, while the EL3 requires 150 ohms only.
Operating this "EL3E", which is in truth an EL8, in place of an EL3, it becomes severely overloaded and mismatched.
It is warned, to operate this tube under conditions other then designed for the EL8.
