Below you find a part of the radio collection Bob Wendoloski - including other related items.

I am an old time ham radio operator, I got my first license back in 1970. My dad was a engineer at the local radio/TV station and I have grown up with radio. I have spent most of my life adult life working with computers starting back in 1977 on IBM mainframes (the first one had real core memory) and now as a network administrator. I got back into working with the old tube radios because they are from a simpler time in my life and their sound and warmth was something I had forgotten about. I started by restoring a 1947 RCA AA5 which has the best sound. Next I restored a Hallicrafters S38B. My dad who is now in his 90s gave me his Hallicrafters SX-71 which I used a Novice along with a Heath DX-100 (long gone). I restored the SX-71 which has many fond memories. I restored a RPC console from 1937 which I did for a friends father, what great sound, I did not want to give it back, his dad listens to it daily! My next restore was a 1941 Crosley 02CA from Craigslist. What a beast of bad rubber wire but a really nice chassis, this is my daily player now, what a beautiful radio. Currently I am working on a 1935/36 Sparton 516 Toumbstone an Ebay purchase, definitely a well used radio, not sure about well loved, the case is in pretty good condition but the chassis has seen many repairs, so far it looks like it will come back to life and be a nice addition to my collection. 73's de WA3TVH
