Below you find a part of the radio collection Daniel Kulpa - including other related items. I have been a collector of vacuum tubes, radios and TV's for over 50 years. My tube collection of nearly 700 tubes are on diplay in five lighted cabinets in cronological order. It starts with a 1906 Flemming valve and finishes with tubes from 1935. Approximately 30% are NIB. Many unique tubes such as a NIB Loewe 3NF, Deforest 1908 Audion, Farnsworth Image Disector, NIB Speed 295, Connecticut J-112 (this is included in a displayed JR-3 radio), Sodions, NIB Welsch 501, more than 20 pre 1930 Western Electric tubes, early TV, photo cells starting with a WE 1A and an Osram cell used in early mechanical TV a picture of which can be seen on page 14 of " A Pictorial Record of Early Television Development 1924-1938" by R.W.Burns. My displayed radio collection of more than 100 radios includes crystal sets, tube sets from the 1920's, radio's from the 1930's including Sparton 557, 558's and 506. Also on display is an Arvin 441T, Philco Transitone 40-501 and Addison L2. All radios are in working condition and effort is made to rebuild as original vs restoration. Ten working early televisions are on display and include a 1947 Pilot, and recently restored 1959 model 4654 Philco Predicta. The majority of the televisions are from the 40's and 50's and are less than 8 inch CRTs. I have a large supply of duplicate tubes that I can make available to those in need. Dan |
