Below you find a part of the radio collection Erik Thomassen - including other related items. Mainly "boat-anchors"; Collins, Racal, Hammarlund, National, Redifon, Telefunken, Eddystone et al... Wehrmacht (radio/radar/nav) equipment. Solid state radios HRO500, -600, Yaesu FRG-series, Skanti, R&S, Sailor, AN/GRC-165 +... A small collection of mainly Tandberg & Radionette domestic radios. Measuring equipment, mainly to keep aformentioned equipment alive;-) Marconi, Tektronix, Philips, Wavetek, HP, R&S; Signal generators, scopes, even an Tek-492 spectrum analyser.. In my loft some 6-7000 valves as spares. Mainly NOS originating from goverment stores( - ). Meteorological instruments are also well inside my main fields of interest.. I am also involved with two museums mainly devoted to aviation, my part is the NAV/COM/Avionics part. The often forgotten part in aviation! Reading and speaking German, a good explanation of my profession - and therefor may be an explanation of my interrests; Ingenioer beim Flugsicherungsdienst in Stavanger/Sola (Und Stavanger ATCC) I have a dream of digitizing all my paper manuals; Quite a few have been shared via BAMA - quite some of them have been found on several websites - even reprints with my call-sign have been offered to me as "normal" buyer by manual vendors in the USA... As BAMA seems to have gone somewhat "offline", I may offer my scans of both BAMA and not yet publised manuals to radiomuseum.org and its menbers. I am a member of several forums. I am not a very profiled member in either way. I speak when spoken to; If I may be of any help, I will do so. If I consider other members to have better knowledge of the theme discussed - I remain silent. I may involve my self in an discussion if I feel that I can contribute - and even if I hate it, I may be wrong in my statements, but not by bad will... I especially remeber(the)one time that I was in error, then by a mistake.... ;-)) So, if I mix in, i a debate, I still may be wrong and I may stand corrected.. In general I have broad interests within the field of Radio Comunications, ranging from an interested young boy 40 years ago. My occupation however, takes very much of my time.
