Qui sotto trovi parte della collezione di radio e altri apparecchi di Michael Walker I have been collecting vintage tube radios since March 2016. My collecting started as an offshoot of an interest in OTR (Old Time Radio) programming. I have not started to catalog my collection but I have accumulated close to 100 sets of which 50 or so are working and displayable. My novice repair skills are slowly improving as time goes on and I hope to be able to refurbish some of my inoperable sets properly within a few years. My focus is primarily on post-WWII AA5 radios but I also have a handful of sets that are from the early 1930's through 1941. One of my most treasured sets is a Zenith 7S529 from 1940 in very good, unrestored condition. The reception with the original "Wave Magnet" antenna is still very impressive. I live about an hour NE of NYC and on an overcast evening, I have pulled in WGN in Chicago as well as many in Southern Ontario and Quebec and as far south as North Carolina with this set. I am looking forward to sharing my collection with other members if accepted. |
