Below you find a part of the radio collection Ronnie Bennett - including other related items. I enjoy collecting antique radios. I was trained as an electronics technician and graduated from Wichita Technical Institute, Wichita, KS, in 1979. I received my amateur radio license WW7U in the late 1980's. I got back into the hobby of radio repair/restoration about 2 years ago, and now have 2 Zenith and 1 Philco console radios, several Zenith TransOceanics, and a number of smaller AM, AM/FM, and shortwave sets of various brands dating from mid 1930's to mid 1960's. I have restored one Zenith console, one TransOceanic, and 5 or 6 of the smaller sets to date, and am currently working on a Zenith 7H820Z. I enjoy repairing, restoring, and listening to these old radios, and receive a great deal of satisfaction when I get a set working that has not functioned in many years. |
