Below you find a part of the radio collection William Callaway - including other related items. Upon receiving my FCC First Class Radio/Telephone license in 1973, I began my broadcasting career and developed an interest in transmitter engineering which also gave me the opportunity to open a shop in my home servicing primarily audio components as well as some TV service. Later I was employed as a p.t. radio service tech in a local repair business and moved on to the position of QC tech for a Minnesota-based corporation. I have been a collector of vintage electronic pieces including radios, amplifiers, phonographs and test equipment for more than 40 years. I supplemented my antique clock restoration business which I have operated for 25 years with the restoration and preservation of vintage electronics beginning in 2006. I own a full service bench of vintage equipment as well as modern pieces with which I am able to perform a professional restoration service virtually for any vintage component (boat anchors the exception), tube or solid state (limited IC repair or interest). I am willing to exceed expectation when imparting my knowledge of vintage electronics to aid in assisting someone with a repair or to ever perpetuate the hobby. |
