The Airmaster Radio Co. (Australasia) Relevance: Nil, shop only (1926 A short-lived radio shop in Sydney in 1926, founded by Ellen Howell with Yar Kivovitch as Manager. This company had no known relationship with Air-Master radios. Only mentioned for clarity. As young man, Raphael Weingott worked for the company and later founded the Kriesler Radio Company in 1931.[2] Wills and Paton Pty. Ltd. Relevance: Dealer 1927 - 1930 Started as an Edison gramophone and musical recordings importer in Melbourne in 1916. The company was granted Trade-Mark registration 46537 for The Air-Master on June 22, 1927.[3] They sold Air-Master parts and radios from 1927 till 1930. See Wills & Paton for the detailed company history. Airmaster Radio Co. Company was registered on Oct 22, 1928 by Abe Weingott. At present no more information is known about this company.[4] Targan Electric Co. Pty. Ltd. Relevance: Dealer & manufacturer, 1930 - 1935 The company manufactured radios under the Targan, Air-Master and Vogue brands. The Airmaster brand was sold through dealerships throughout Australia with the largest sales in the eastern states of Australia. History: Walter Stoddart Paton (1887 – 1961) registered the Targan Electric Co. Pty. Ltd., along with Ernest Gerald Ardall in June 1930.[5] They went into voluntary liquidation in 1935.[6] Airmaster (S.A.) Radio (1934) Relevance: Dealer Advertised Airmaster radios manufactured by Targan Electric in April 1934.[7] Airmaster Radio Co. (Radiokraft Pty. Ltd.) (1935 – 1936) Relevance: Dealer & manufacturer, 1935 - 1936 Radiocraft purchased the assets of Targan Electric Co. Pty. Ltd., including the Air-Master trademark and manufactured the Air-Master radio, distributed by The Gloria Light Co. Pty Ltd. [8][9] History: Radiokraft Pty. Ltd. was registered in September 1935 as manufacturers, importers and wholesale and retail agents with First Directors, Charles James Evans, and Robert Howarth Cogawell.[10] In August 1936, the company went into liquidation. [11] In late February 1937 the Liquidators called for tenders for the Air-Master trade-mark and complete assets of the company. [ 12] Air-Master Pty. Ltd. (1937- 19 ) Relevance: Dealer & manufacturer Air-Master Pty. Ltd. was formed to take over the assets of the liquidated parts manufacturer, Colonial Radio Pty. Ltd. in May 1937.
