Name: Radio-Craft Company Inc.(Radiocraft); Brooklyn, New York    (USA)
Abbreviation: radiocraft
Products: Model types
Summary:

Radio-Craft Company was located in Brooklyn, New York. It was one of the original licensee of the Armstrong regenerative patent.

Closed: 1922
History:

It is interesting to note that Radio-Craft purchased an outright Armstrong license for $10,000 rather than the 5% royalty on sales most manufacturers had. By mid 1921 the company was in dire financial shape and was acquired in early 1922 by the De Forest Radio and Telegraph Co. for it's Armstrong license. De Forest Radio had thought that they would be able to transfer the Armstrong license from Radio-Craft to De Forest but that was not the case.

A frequent advertiser in early 1920's Radio News magazine Radio-Craft offered a full line of detector modules, amplifier models and even receivers. The advertising for the company apparently ended in June 1921.

But we found offers for "Radiocraft" models, for instance Radiocraft model D4, a Regenerative Receiver is shown and offered in Mahogany for $ 40.00 or in Walnut for $ 35.00 in 1923 (postal stamp) by "The North American Radio & Supply Corp.", 5-7 Columbus Circle, New York City. We don't know if the model name D4 is the one given by this seller or by Radio-Craft. The same with two D5 models.

This manufacturer was suggested by Alan Larsen.
