The Monroe H. McKillip Company was located at 209 South State Street in Chicago, Illinois. In 1922 the Monroe Company sold a line of radios through a group of distributors, American Radio Mfg Co., Waveland Radio Co. and others. These regenerative radios were sold and licensed under the Armstrong Regenerative Circuit patent through a licensing agreement with Tri-City Radio Electric Supply Company (Tresco) and Monroe and some carry the Tri-City name on the label under the lid. These radios were manufactured for Tri-City by the Briggs & Stratton Co. (Basco) as a sub-licensee of Tri-City Electric and then distributed by Monroe through their sales channels. |
