The Ohmite Manufacturing Company started operations in a small shop on the west side of Chicago in 1925. It was founded by David T Siegel. First products were carbon and wire wound resistors In 1953 the company moved to Skokie, Illinois and both offices and works were located there. By 1999 several mergers and take overs had occured and the company left Skokie in 1998, with new works in Matamoros, Mexico. The head office was in Rolling Meadows, Illinois but now located in Warrenville, illinois..
