"Tulan" is factory for radios, founded in 1927 in Burgas, following the adoption and promulgation of the law, which allowed Bulgaria to have radio industry. Factory is registered in the Commercial Register of the District Court under number Burgas 1346/1927 г. Founder of the factory is engineer Svetozar Mateev Prenerov. He graduated with honors from his education in France. In 1925 he was asked to participate in the project of "Philips" to start production of radios in the Netherlands. The young man refused attractive offer and decides that he will produce radios in his homeland Bulgaria. "Tulan" is abbreviation. The slogan of engineer Prenerov and his brothers: Ivan and Veselin - "hard work and perseverance launch activity and progress"(„Трудолюбието и упоритостта лансират активност и напредък“).
Factory "Tulan" was nationalized and closed after the political changes in Bulgaria after 9th September 1944. Engineer Svetozar Prenerov died on 52 years of age, from the blows by the political regime which applied unfairly.
