The "catalog" no. 102 for "new 1937 models" is a folder and names the address as Silver Mfg. Co., 612 North Michigan Ave., Chicago Ill. Silver Manufacturing Co. was created when Silver & Deming Manufacturing Co. split in 1890 to form The Deming Company (manufacturers of brass pumps, hydraulic machinery and well supplies) and The Silver Manufacturing Company. A. R. Silver and his sons were the main interest in this new company. In 1954 Silver merged back into Deming Pumps, which was later acquired by the Crane Co. in 1961.

A note can be found in "Broadcasting", July 15, 1939, page 83 (taken from americanradiohistory.com): "THE Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has issued orders against Wyeth Chemical Co., Jersey City, to cease certain claims f o r its Freezone corn treatment; against Silver Mfg. Co., Silver Sales Co. and World-Wide Radio Co. to cease alleged lottery methods in the sale of radios."

Many of the Silver models with two or three digit numbers were made by Clinton Mfg. Co. of Chicago.  They are often very similar to Clinton models with the same number.  They can also be identified by an orange license tag with the words "Plant A, Chicago" or a yellow and black license tag with the words "Plant C, Chicago".
