Kimble Products, a subsidiary of the Owens-Illinois Inc. (leading container glass production), created experimental electronic sets in 1972 ~ 1974 under the "Mr. Wizard" logo. The building blocks were taken from LECTRON - together with individual educational brochures.

History:
This leading manufacturer of prescription bottles was created by a number of mergers and consolidations. The New England Glass Company became the Libbey Glass Company in 1888, and the Owens Bottle Machine Company acquired the Whitney Glass Works in 1918. The Illinois Glass Company merged with Owens Bottle Company in 1929 to form Owens-Illinois.
Owens-Illinois bought the Libbey Glass Company in 1935 which became the Libbey Glass Division of Owens-Illinois in 1944. The firm introduced their Duraglass emerald green prescription containers in 1947, and in 1959 they were selling Kimble Opticlear Snap-Cap Vials, a product of the Kimble Glass Company, subsidiary of Owens-Illinois, which was incorporated in 1965 as Owens-Illinois, Inc.
