Name: Ready Radio; Blackheath, London S.E.    (GB)
Abbreviation: readyradio
Products: Model types Others
Summary:

Ready Radio Eastnor House, Blackheath, London S.E. 3, UK

Suppliers of Kendall and Kendall-Price Radio kits, Radio accessories and Radio parts.

Founded: 1926
Closed: 1934
History:
Often styled "Ready Radio" in same font and style (long underlines from initial letters) as Ever Ready used in late 1920s & early 1930s. Also published small booklets of radio designs by Mr. G.P. Kendall BSc. & Mr H.D. Price and possibly other designers.
It should be noted that the parts don't look like Lissen parts (Ever Ready took a controlling share in 1928 in Lissen and marketed Lissen Radios with Ever Ready Branding from 1934) despite this and lack of any other evidence people have speculated that Ready Radio was an Ever Ready brand. Since the 32 page post 1928 "Ready Radio Prize Circuits" extensively promotes Pertrix for HT, GB and accumulators, Mullard for Valves(tubes) and TCC for Condensers(Capacitors)we can say that "Ready Radio" was not connected to Ever Ready but simply copying the style the company name used.
Telegram address was "Readirad" Blackvil London, the same name as on at least one Model.
Pertrix (Varta)was marketed then by "Britanna Batteries Ltd" 233 Shaftesbury Ave. London (branches Manchester, Bristol. Glasgow and Dublin).
Took two full page adverts in very first edition of Practical Wireless (September 1932) The "Ready Radio Prize Circuits" must be published first published late 1932 at earliest as it lists a Pen4V
Complete list: PM2DX, PM12A, PM1LF, PM2, PM2A, PM22, PM22A, Pen4V, S4V, 354V 054V, PM252, DW2
Many of the designs though are typical of 1929 and of course the simpler ones are mechanically and electrically similar to earlier all triode designs (SG replacing triode for first RF stage).

This manufacturer was suggested by Michael Watterson.
