Summary:

Massie Wireless Telegraph Co.
Providence, Rhode Island

Founded: 1905
Closed: 1909
Production: 1905 - 1909
History:

Walter Massie formed the Massie Wireless Telegraph Co. in 1905 to sell a complete line of wireless telegraph equipment of his own manufacture, and to build and equip land and shipboard wireless stations of his own design. He made a complete line of wireless equipment including receivers, tuners, detectors, spark transmitter, transformers, condensers, switches, etc. to equip his wireless stations. Although most of his equipment was made for commercial, government, and military customers, Walter Massie advertised his products in several amateur electrical magazines of the time, including Modern Electrics etc.

In order to compete more effectively with the United Wireless Telegraph Co. and the Marconi Wireless Telegraph Co. (large concerns), he merged his company along with others in 1909 to form the Continental Wireless Telephone and Telegraph Co., which folded in 1913.

This manufacturer was suggested by Richard Groshong.
