History:	JB Phillips started the Crown Radio Manufacturing Co. in Bourke Street, Sydney, manufacturing radio coils and selling radio kit sets. The company expanded and was listed as Crown Radio Manufacturing Co. Pty. Ltd. In 1937 and the company moved to a larger factory at 51-53 Murray Street, Pyrmont, NSW. [1] The company was liquidated in April 1938 and Crown Radio products Pty Ltd was formed. [2] They supplied the radio industry with dials, IF transformers, coils and components. In July 1948 the factory roof collapsed, no one injured and advertisements for staff ceased. [3] Company Literature: Crown manufacturing catalogue for 1937.
