Efco Manufacturing supplied the radio industry in Australia with Dials, tuning units, switches, metal stamping and castings from the late 1920 to the 1940’s.Their logo was “The Dial People”.

Histoire:

Efco Manufacturing Co. started in 1921 at Rocky Point Road, Arncliffe, NSW as platers, brass and iron founders.[1] In February 1928 the owners, the Facer family diversified into small parts for radios as well as continuing the builders hardware line.

They manufactured the following products for the radio industry in Australia from the late 1920 to the 1940’s.[3]

  1. Efco Dials
  2. Tuning Units
  3. Dial Escutcheons
  4. Anodising of aluminium
  5. Brass & Zinc die casting
  6. Metal stampings

The company started to concentrate on lock hardware manufacture by the 1950’s and was taken over by Ogden Industries in 1989.[5]

The company advertised an Efco Burglar Alarm system in 1985. [4]
