In 1911 the company registered as Charles Atkins and Co. In August 1913 they moved to new premises at Mazda House, Hay Street, Perth.[3] In 1925 the company name was shortened to Atkins (WA) Ltd.[4]

The company merged with Carlyle and Co. in 1971 to become Atkins Carlyle Pty. Ltd. [7]

The late Sir Charles Nathan was the founder of Atkins (W.A.) Limited, and prior to that was the W.A manager of Charles Atkins and Company. His keen foresight and faith in Western Australia has been abundantly demonstrated in the fine business he built and which is being carried on with the same tradition and spirit of service. It is interesting to note that the late Sir Charles Nathan was appointed chairman to the Trade Delegation of the Federated Malay States and Java, in 1921, and received his knighthood in the New Year's Honours in 1928. He was elected M.L.C. in 1980, and occupied this position until his death in 1936.[4]
