The company manufactured from the WW2 Derwent Park Munitions Factory in Hobart which had been rebuilt as part of the postwar reconstruction by the Commonwealth Government to employ ex-servicemen.[1] They manufactured in Hobart and their head office was in Baulkam Hills, Sydney. Their turntables were used at most of the ABC broadcast studios and transmitting sites throughout Australia in the late 1950’s. [2] They also manufactured spring motor driven tape recorders.[3] In 1966 the company was taken over by Philips Industries. [1] The Mercury (Tas) May 7, 1946, Page 10. |
