Australian Sound and Television Co. Pty. Ltd. Australian Sound Service Pty. Ltd. The company commenced in 1952 and began to develop and manufacture both sound and television products. The television was so good the rights were sold to Amalgamated Wireless Australia "AWA" and many thousands of sets were sold. They were at one stage the largest sound supplier to the Victorian Government supplying equipment to Schools and Other facilities.

The original owner was believed to be RMIT Lecturer/Director, Graham Scott. The company supplied a 6BM8 based kit stereo amplifier that the students could build in their once a week workshop sessions. They were the largest supplier of public address and related equipment in Victoria and were contracted to supply public address/radio systems to schools. In 1961 they were contracted to build what was at the time the largest PA system in Australia at the Morwell Briquetting works of the State Electricity Commission of Victoria for just under 21,000 Pounds. The Company is still in operation today as Australian Sound Service Pty. Ltd. |
