History:

Company founded by Charles Woodfull Bennett in 1882. Importer & later manufacturer of bicycles & tricycles.

Originally situated at 68 King St, Sydney.

Formed a partnership with Charles Russell Wood, but this partnership was dissolved in 1887. The company continued as Bennett and Wood at 116 Clarence St., Sydney.

Taking advantage of the late Victorian "bicycle craze" the company prospered. The company later diversified into motorcycles, automotive spares, whitegoods, radios, etc.

This manufacturer was suggested by Martin Kent.
