The company was registered in November 1932 as the Australian distributor for the British Telephone Manufacturing Co. Ltd., of London.[1]

Prior to this New System Telephones Pty. Ltd. were the Australian agents.

After WW2 they produced specialised parts for the PMG's telephone network including in conjunction with the British Post Office the Speaking Clock for both countries.

They were experts at making precision radio filters which they used in 24-channel FM-VF telegraph equipment, open wire Telephone Carrier Systems and specialised test equipment.

In the late 1950’s they developed the Line Fault Locator (Pulse Echo Tester), PET Type 100, in conjunction with the PMG Research Laboratories.[2] By the early 1960’s one was available in almost every telephone exchange in Australia.

They were taken over by Pye Electronics in the early 1960’s.
