History:

Alreso Elektronica BV

Electrical company in Zaandam. Alreso was founded in 1972 by Kornelis Tjalsma (1944-1996). The company started on the west side, moved in the year of foundation to the Breedweer in Koog, in 1974 to the Zuideinde in Wormerveer, in 1976 to the Zeemansstraat in Zaandam, in 1984 to the Aris van Broekweg in Zaandam and in 1986 to the former Johannes hospital, which had become empty as a result of the merger into De Heel, on H. Gerhardstraat. Initially, Alreso was mainly active in the field of automation, later increasingly in the field of main frequency technology and microelectronics.

The company was engaged in developing for third parties and, as a result, manufacturing and selling its own products, such as transmitters for private or public paging networks, paging networks, advanced receivers, identification systems, operating systems, remote control systems, telecommunication systems including public address, intercom and paging systems as well as various semi-finished products for customers.

The company focused on the Netherlands, England and especially Germany, on the telecommunications market, railways, airports, chemical and food industry.

In September 1985 the shares were sold to J. F. de Regt Holding in Capelle aan de IJssel, which focuses on the offshore and geophysical industry and has offices in England, the United States, Australia and Singapore. Alreso became a full daughter of this group. In 1987 the company employed about 100 people; turnover was above NLG 10 million. In 1989 the bankruptcy followed. The company is said to have accumulated a substantial debt burden.

TMP Europe Holding continued the activities of the bankrupt Alreso Electronics through a new operating company, Alreso Electronics. About 45 of the 70 Alreso employees made redundant joined TPM.
