Initially a subsidiary of Svenska Ackumulator Aktiebolaget Jungner.

History:

Iniitially only import of batteries from Sweden, later complete manufacture (1924).

In 1933 renamed to Nife Batteries Ltd. after Chloride Electrical Storage acquired controlling interest. Brand name NIFE to be used in the British Commonwealth, while Jungner should use the brands NIFE outside and Jungner in the Commonwealth.

NIFE Batteries and Britannia Batteries Ltd. are merged to form Alkaline Batteries Ltd. in 1947.
