Grose & Daniell were registered as manufacturers agents by W. J. Grose and Chas Edmond Daniell in NSW on February 13, 1922.[1] The company manufactured a variety of radio products from 1922 until their factory in Holden Street, Redfern was destroyed by fire in September 1928. Just prior to the fire in August 1928 they advertised “Grodan Portable Wireless Sets, Screen Coil Kits, Peridyne Kits, Neutrodyne Kits, Junior and Senior Grodan Loudspeakers, Loop Aerials, Crystal Detectors, etc” in the Wireless Weekly.[2] In April 1930 they advertised through letters to the public in Wireless Weekly that they were making Grodan Quality Radio Apparatus and including Grodan amplifiers, power packs, shortwave equipment, condensers, resistances, and precision coils.[6][7] The new venture was short lived as after these two letters in April there was only a few adverts for Grodan Radio products in the Wireless Weekly and after May 1930 advertising had ceased.[8] [1] Duns Gazette (NSW) Oct 9, 1922, Page 234. |
