TCA, a subsidiary of Philips Australia, was a leading manufacturer of all categories of Telecommunication Equipment and a major supplier to both Commonwealth and State Government Departments. They manufactured equipment for the expansion of the Australian Telephone Network and the Sydney-Melbourne Coaxial Cable Project.

They also manufactured TCA transceivers for Taxis and Government Authorities.

History:

With the rapid expansion of communications in Australia in the 1950’s Philips Australia set up a subsidiary company in 1956. [1]

They designed a huge variety of electronic communications equipment which was manufactured at the Philips Hendon factory.
