Thomas H. Megann left the position of Radio Manger for Thos. Ballinger & Co. Ltd in January 1937 and started his own radio repair business. [1] Megann Ltd. was registered in July 1937. [2] The company is well known for plagiarising the American names—Atwater Kent and Zenith for use in their radios manufactured during 1946-47.
