In the 1980s, Arcolectric took over the manufacture of some of the products of Crater Controls Ltd. on that company's demise, and in December 2003 Arcolectric Switches Ltd. became Arcolectric Ltd. and part of Elektron plc. In 2016, Arcolectric merged with Bulgin, and Arcolectric products are now sold under the Bulgin brand. Recent introductions also include vandal-resistant and piezo switches which are designed with a high resistance to wear and tear, corrosion and harsh use in potentially hostile environments, such as access control applications. Applications include domestic and commercial appliances, security, metering, mobility devices, vending, audio/visual, lighting, HVAC, power generation and general industrial use. |
