TrueLight Corporation is a major manufacturer of III-V optoelectronic semiconductor components. The product range includes VCSEL, FP, DFB, PD, APD, and Power GaN for use in optical communications, consumer electronics, sensing, and power electronics applications. The company possesses production capabilities in MOCVD epitaxy, wafer fabrication, packaging and submodule assembly:

MOCVD Epitaxy: Epitaxial growth of VCSEL, Power GaN, and RF GaN.
Wafer Fabrication: Production of VCSEL, FP, DFB, PD, APD, SOA, EML and other components.
Packaging: TO-38, TO-46, TO-56, COC and COB.
Submodule Assembly: Glue-sealed and laser-welded transceiver submodules, OSA, OSM and other assemblies.

TrueLight was established in the ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute) Incubation Center in 1997. In 1998 the company moved into the Hsinchu Science Park, set up a semiconductor wafer fabrication plant, and became the first company in Taiwan to sell VCSELs. It acquired the building in 2000 and achieved ISO 9001 QMS certification in 2001. In 2003 it turned a profit for the first time and was listed on the Taiwan OTC Market. Since then, TrueLight has built a successful record of innovation and today the company is one of the major suppliers of active optical components in Asia.
