King produced also for Sears under the name Silvertone, but the radios still were labeled King-Hinners.

Another brand to sell radios manufactured by King was Adler-Royal. 

King Quality Products, Inc. was incorporated in late fall 1924 by W.G. King and two others and was associated with the King Manufacturing Co., formerly known as the King Sewing Machine Co., founded in 1904. Sears, Roebuck, and Co. owned King Manufacturing Co. [1]

King acquired a Neutrodyne license and sold its first radio under the Sears Silvertone name in 1924. It was very successful that year. In January 1925, King also marketed the Neutrodyne radios under its own new name, King-Hinners, named after a brilliant designer named Frank A. Hinners, who was the chief consulting engineer for the Adler Manufacturing Co., another company owned by Sears. [1]

When Neutrodyne radio sales slowed, King hedged its bet in late 1926 and temporarily split into King-Hinners Radio Co., Inc., to make Neutrodynes, and King-Buffalo, Inc., for TRF models. [1]

By March 1927, the two had recombined to form the new King Manufacturing Corp., but they overproduced in 1929 and had financial troubles as the Great Depression started. Sears unloaded the company and sold the Buffalo plant to Colonial Radio Corp. in October 1930. The last mention of King Manufacturing Corp. as a Sears subsidiary was in 1933. [1]

The company changed its name several times:
1924:      King Quality Products, Inc.
1926-27: King-Hinners Radio Co., Inc.
1926-27: King-Buffalo, Inc.
1927-30: King Manufacturing Corp.
1930:      acquired by the Colonial Radio Corp.
