History:

Long Radio Works of Cornelius, OR, was started by brothers Leslie L. Long and George Long in 1912. They performed radio repair, and around 1920 they began assembling radios for sale under their own brand. Early Long radios are recognizable by the word LONG stenciled on their front panels in an elaborate scripted font. Later models have been found with paper labels stating "Long Radio Works" affixed to their chassis. Components in known radios appear to have been sourced from suppliers such as Gilfillan, Remler, and Crosley.
