An interesting feature at the exhibition of wireless apparatus at the Horticultural Hall will be a new Broadcasting Receiver called " The IONOPHONE." The IONOPHONE is designed and manufactured by Messrs. J. A. Coomes & Co., Ltd., Manor Park, E12, who have recently opened a wireless department at their works and have added to their directorate several gentlemen well-known in wireless circles, who have been engaged in radio research work for many years and who possess unrivaled experience in the design and production of wireless apparatus. The set contains two Radio frequency amplifying valves and one Rectifying valve, low resistance phones, HT and Batteries, Aerial Wire, etc., all complete and ready for erection, valves alone excepted. For the amplification of very weak signals and where especially loud effects are required, as for dances, concerts, etc., a Second Stage Two-Valve Audio-frequency Amplifier is supplied for attachment to the above set. The range of the instrument enables the user to get The Hague concerts, the Eiffel Tower meteorological reports and Time Signals as well as all the ordinary broadcasting. Messrs.
