From 1936 until 1944 Tungsram Tilburg produced approx. 26 different radio receiver models based on designs from the Tungsram factory in Budapest. The radio chassis were imported from Budapest and were often heavily modified in order to cope with Philips patent issues. I.e. tubes with a control characteristic (EF5, EF9) could not be used for this reason.
After WW2 the tube production continued, but the production of radio sets was ceased.

Hallo liebe Sammler, von einem Bekannten aus der Niederlande habe ich folgende Info erhalten: Radium Tungsram hat seinem Ursprung in der im Juni 1922 gegründeten NV Electra in Amsterdam. Die Firma reparierte zu dieser Zeit große Lampen, Röntgenröhren und Radioröhren. 1924 wurde die Firma in NV Radium umbenannt und zog nach Tilsburg. Ende 1924 produzierte sie dort die ersten Radioröhren und benutzten den Markennamen RADIO RECORD. Bis Ende der 20ziger Jahre wurden weiter Lampen und Radioröhren repariert. 1930 kaufte Tungsram Anteile der NV Radium und hatte 1935 die komplette Kontrolle der Firma. Radio Record Röhren wurden bis 1940 produziert, aber zwischen 1935 und 1940 verkaufte Radium auch Tungsram Röhren. Ab 1945 wurden bei Radium nur Tungsram Röhren bis in die 1970er produziert. Radios wurden ab 1936 produziert. Tungsram verkaufte NV Radium 1983. Da Ende von NV Radium folgte dann im Jahre 1984. |
