Helped Raytheon to develop the magnetron. 1954 Tex Thornton, owner of Electro Dynamics Corporation bought out Litton Industries, but adapted the name. 2001 Litton Industries was taken over by Northrop Grumman Corp.

This is a Litton Logo from long ago. The entire Litton name is spelled out in the logo as follows: The upper case cursive 'L' is the L in Litton. The TWO hash marks through the 'L' represent the TWO T's in LiTTon. The O at the bottom is the O in LittOn and the lower case cursive 'i' and 'n' are the the i and n from lIttoN.
