Summary:

Founded in 1869 as military ammunition factory. In 1922 renamed to "Kalinin Works No.4" (after Mikhail Kalinin, formal USSR president in the times of Josef Stalin). Current name is FGUP "Kalinin Works" where FGUP stands for "State-owned Enterprise". Before WWII civil production included "Rekord" wired-broadcast loudspeakers. Post-war civil production was "Kvazar" line of tape recorders, "Forum" line of audio amplifiers and some other devices.
