United Electronics Laboratories (UEL) United Electronics Laboratories (UEL) was later known as United Electronics Institute (UEI). They operated from the 1940's (probably post WWII) at least into the 1960's. The school offered a diploma for electronic technician training in several cities. The school also offered home-study courses as well as on-site instruction. Kits included a 5-tube superhet receiver, a small oscilloscope, and a vacuum-tube voltmeter. The kits were part of the course lessons and were assembled by the students. |
