lorenz: FuG10EL (FuG 10 EL);

I recently bought this very nice EL receiver module on eBay. The EL was part of the FuG10 radio system used in German heavy aircraft during WWII. The FuG10 system also had the transmitting modules SL and SK and the receiver module EK (S=Sender, E=Empfänger, L=Langwelle, K=Kurzwelle). There also were intercom, antenna selection / tuning and power units in the system.

The EL module is a superhet covering 300 - 600 kHz with an IF of 140 kHz. It has 8 valves of type RV12P2000. My receiver seems to be in very good original condition and is a nice addition to my collection. I intend to use it to listen to long wave utility stations
