Havanna (spanisch La Habana), vollständige Bezeichnung Villa de San Cristóbal de la Habana, ist die Hauptstadt der Republik Kuba. Die Stadt grenzt im Norden an den Atlantischen Ozean bzw. die Straße von Florida und erstreckt sich südlich und westlich der Bucht von Havanna („Bahía de La Habana“) Das Museum befindet sich direkt in der historischen Altstadt von "Habana Vieja" (Alt-Havanna), wo es in einem "Solar" (Kolonial-Stadthaus) aus dem 18. Jahrhundert untergebracht ist. Es ist umgeben von einer schattigen Terrasse mit breiten Steinsäulen, Farn, Yuccas und Palmen. |
