Description | From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia: The museum's mandate is to provide a unique and educational tourist attraction that preserves and displays the railroading past and heritage of Northern Ontario. The museum's building was built in 1916 and served as the home for the superintendent of Canadian National Railway for most of its life. In 1997 the town of Capreol purchased it to be turned into a museum.
