Description

threeriversnb.ca/village-guide/museums:
Facility that started in 1998 to honour the service of those men and woman who served in Canada's forces, overseas and at home during the first World War, Second World War, Korean War & current day peacekeeping.

Hon. Tammy Scott-Wallace, 5. November 2023:
When the museum opened its doors upstairs at the Royal Canadian Legion in 1998 there were less than 500 artifacts on display. Currently there are nearly 10,000 artifacts dating back to 1812 in the museum’s collections. The museum honours the memory and sacrifices of veterans, as well it shares the struggles of the people who made this wonderful community what it is today.

cbc.ca/news 2020::
Located above the Petitcodiac Legion, the museum is filled with 8000 artifacts that stretch from before the war of 1812, to memorabilia from members currently serving in the armed forces.

There are uniforms, weapons, gas masks, medical kits, letters sent home from soldiers. There are also items that show what was happening in Canada, especially during the First and Second World Wars.
