Description

Gemeinsam mit der Fotostiftung Schweiz betreibt das Fotomuseum Winterthur seit Herbst 2003 ein Zentrum für Fotografie mit Bistro, Bibliothek, Seminarräumen, Lounge und Shop.
Das Fotomuseum ist einerseits eine Kunsthalle für Fotografie, andererseits auch ein klassisches Museum für die Meister des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts und schliesslich ist es ein kulturhistorisches, soziologisches Museum für angewandte Fotografie aus der Industrie, Architektur, Mode usw. (mit Ausstellungen zur Polizeifotografie, Industriefotografie, Dammbaufotografie, Medizinfotografie u.a.).
