Description

Swiss Camera Museum

In its idyllic setting on Lake Geneva, right in the heart of Vevey, the Swiss Camera Museum offers a wonderful opportunity to visitors of all ages to discover the story of photographers and photography from its very beginnings till today.

In just a century, photography has become the most effective and most popular way of fixing an image, a back-up for our memory, a universal language.

The permanent exhibition, covering an area of more than 500 m², tells the story of photography, showing the inventors, and all the techniques involved, with a vast collection of photographic equipment, from camerae obscurae and magic lanterns to the most up-to-date numerical cameras. The superb interior architecture, where past and present blend harmoniously, adds to the attraction of the exhibition and the multitude of explanatory boards, interactive displays, projections and videos. Young visitors too will particularly enjoy the many games, texts and hands-on installations.

Radiomuseum.org presents here one of the many museum pages. We try to bring data for your direct information about all that is relevant. In the list (link above right) you find the complete listing of museums related to "Radio & Co." we have information of. Please help us to be complete and up to date by using the contact form above.
