DIE WELT DER DDR, das die Nachfolge des geschlossenen DDR Museums Zeitreise antrat,  bietet Ihnen auf 1500m² eine umfangreiche und einzigartige Ausstellung über das Leben in der Deutschen Demokratischen Republik: Begeben Sie sich auf eine spannende Reise durch den Alltag der DDR - von Kindergarten, Schule und Arbeitswelt bis hin zu den Bereichen Wohnen, Einkaufen, Urlaub, Sport und Freizeit. Die verschiedenen Themenbereiche geben durch ihre detaillierte Gestaltung einen authentischen Einblick in die Lebenswirklichkeit eines untergegangenen Staates. Darüber hinaus spiegelt die Dauerausstellung anhand verschiedener Exponate regionale Besonderheiten aus dem Bezirk Dresden wider.
