Mit dem Fahrrad erreichbar über den Radweg, der am östlichen Flughafenzaun entlang von Mörfelden-Walldorf nach Frankfurt führt. Besucher, die mit dem Auto anreisen, erreichen das Ausflugsziel über die Autobahn A5, Ausfahrt "Zeppelinheim / CargoCity Süd". Parkplätze stehen am Bahnhof Zeppelinheim und am Intercity Hotel Frankfurt Flughafen zur Verfügung. Von hier aus sind es jeweils nur wenige Gehminuten bis zum Denkmal. |
| Description | The Berlin Airlift Memorial, at the Frankfurt Airport, erected in 1951, symbolises the western buttress of the bridge. It is complemented by a similar structure at former Tempelhof Airport, in West Berlin which symbolise the eastern buttress of the bridge. |
