Description

Das Stadtmuseum bietet in seinen Ausstellungen als einzige Einrichtung der Stadt Brandenburg eine chronologische Darstellung von über tausend Jahren Stadtgeschichte und berührt, aufgrund der historischen Bedeutung der Stadt, an vielen Stellen auch die Landesgeschichte.


Einzigartig im Land Brandenburg ist die Sammlung von mechanischem Blechspielzeug und Lineolfiguren sowie der elektromechanisch betriebenen Fahrzeuge der Brandenburger Spielwarenindustrie von 1881 – 1992, die in seiner breiten Vielfalt in einer ständigen Ausstellung im Hofgebäude gezeigt wird.
