Driving the A66 coming from Frankfurt, take the exit to Martinsthal (at this point the A66 has quietly turned into a federal road). Follow this road for approximately 25 km. You will transit Martinsthal, drive past Schlangenbad and transit Wambach (be careful - speedlimit is 40 km/h!). After leaving Wambach you will drive up a hill, the so called Wambacher Stich. On top of the hill is a cross-way - just drive straight ahead. After a couple of km you will notice some windmills to your right. Then Kemel is to your left. Take the first exit to Kemel. When you are in Kemel, take the first road to the right, this is the Schwalbacher Straße. Drive to the end of the road and look for a place to park your car. The warehouse is on the right.

Description

Objective

The main objective of the museum is to preserve and present mainframes in their natural habitat. :-) It is not a collection of dusty big old iron rusting away in a cellar - all of the systems shown in the computer room (which is the heart of the museum) are in a running condition (or will be in such a condition in some time). So the goal is to have a collection of running mainframe systems to allow visitors hands on experiences with large systems.

Radiomuseum.org presents here one of the many museum pages. We try to bring data for your direct information about all that is relevant.
