Description

The first Transporter Bridge was built near Bilbao in Spain and is still used today. Worldwide less than twenty transporter bridges were built, of which 6 are currently in operation.

The Vizcaya Bridge, is a transporter bridge that links the towns of Portugalete and Las Arenas in the Biscay province of Spain, crossing the mouth of the Nervion River.
