Description

Open air museum adjacent to the northern portal of the Dudley canal tunnel. Exhibits include canal boats and boatyard. Coal fired bakery, chain making shop, 19th century housing and chapel. A 3ft 6in. gauge electric tramway carries visitors across the 26 acre site. Full size working replica of the 1712 Newcomen engine (operated occasionally), colliery steam winding engine and underground mining experience.
